Starting out

So I originally created a blog on a different website, but I prefer this one, so I changed it. Here is a copy of my first post:

Well, I haven't written in a blog or an online journal since the days of high school and the livejournal.com frenzy, so I am bit out of practice! But, I will keep this blog so that everybody can keep up to date on my upcoming trip.

For those of you who have somehow not heard me going on and on about my trip, here is the skinny: I will be going to Ghana, which is on the West Coast of Africa, for three weeks starting March 5th. Well, to be honest, I won't be getting to Ghana until the 6th, it will be a crazy long travel time. 24+ hours. yikes!!

I got my Visa last week with an official stamp of approval from the Ghanaian Consulate, and that is when I think the reality of my trip finally sunk in. As the departure date gets closer and closer (28 days!) I get more and more excited.

As for now, there is really not much to write about, but I will keep updating as I find out more and more.
